Some links on this site earn us a commission. This page explains which ones, what that pays for, and why it does not change a single number we publish.
The plain statement
Feature and Fit contains affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a commission from the retailer. You pay nothing extra — the price is the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly.
We are compensated for referring traffic and business to these companies. That compensation never influences which vehicles we cover or what our specification data says.

1. What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link to a retailer with a code attached that identifies us as the site that sent you. If you buy something after following one, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale.
It costs you nothing. The price you pay, the warranty, the returns policy and the retailer’s service are exactly what they would be if you had typed the address yourself. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. We are not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer, as set out in section 4 of our Terms of use.
We update this list when a program is added or ends.
3. How we mark affiliate links
We disclose close to the link, not only on this page. A reader should be able to tell what a link is at the moment they decide whether to click it, without scrolling to the footer or opening another page.
Where an article contains affiliate links, a line like this appears near the top, before the first one:
This article contains affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.Affiliate links also carry the appropriate technical attributes so that search engines and other automated systems can identify them as paid links.
4. What commission does not change
Specification data is factual. It comes from manufacturer documentation and federal records, verified by a second person, as described in How we source spec data. There is no version of this site where a commission changes a payload figure, a tow rating or a dimension.
No retailer, affiliate network or manufacturer sees our articles before publication, has any input into them, or can request a change. If a product is a poor fit for a configuration, we say so, whether or not there is a commission attached to it.

5. How anything gets recommended here
This is a specification and fitment site, not a product review site, and we want to be exact about what that means.
We do not buy, test, install, measure or road-test products. We have said the same thing in How we source spec data and it applies here too. When we point to a product, we are saying that its published specification matches the configuration we are writing about — that a hitch is rated for the load, that a tire size is correct for the wheel, that an accessory is listed as fitting that cab and bed combination.
That is a fitment statement, not a quality judgement. We are not telling you it is durable, well made or the best value. For that, read reviews from people who have actually used it.
Always confirm fitment with the part manufacturer or a dealer using your VIN before buying. Our Disclaimer explains why.
6. Affiliate links are not the same as ads
Both earn us money, and both are disclosed. They are different things and we do not treat them as interchangeable. How advertising data is handled is in our Privacy policy.
7. Prices, availability and returns
Prices and availability shown on this site were accurate when written and change constantly. The retailer’s own page is always the current price, and that is the one that applies to your purchase.
Your purchase is with the retailer, not with us. Delivery, warranty, returns, refunds and customer service are all theirs to provide. We cannot process a return, chase an order or resolve a dispute on your behalf. If something goes wrong with a purchase, contact the retailer directly.
8. Cookies and tracking
Affiliate programs use cookies to attribute a sale to the site that referred it. When you follow an affiliate link, the retailer may set a cookie that lasts for a defined window, commonly 24 hours to 30 days depending on the program.
That tracking is the retailer’s, governed by their privacy policy, not ours. What we collect on this site is set out in our Privacy policy, which also explains how to block or delete cookies.
9. What we never do
- Publish an undisclosed affiliate link
- Accept payment to include, rank or favour a product
- Sell links in existing articles, or exchange them
- Publish sponsored articles, advertorial or guest posts
- Change a specification figure for any commercial reason
- Claim to have tested a product we have not tested
- Let an affiliate partner see or influence an article before publication
