The Right 2027 Silverado Trims to Compare for LT and LTZ Owners

Table of Contents
What happened to the Silverado LT and LTZ for 2027?
The Silverado LT is gone for 2027: Chevrolet renamed it simply Silverado, and the RST and LTZ are discontinued. The lineup now has seven trims, down from nine.
Coming from an LT, RST or LTZ, go to the crosswalk and the package chain; comparing trims for the first time, read straight through; planning to trailer, see which trim can order Max Trailering.
Everything here covers the 2027 model year only; the cross-year figures live in our Silverado 1500 specs by configuration, 2019 to 2027 pillar.
ℹ️ Safety Note: Prices and package availability change as GM revises its order guide, and trailering capability depends on your exact build. This article states no tow rating; verify any figure against the towing information for your truck before hitching anything.
📍 Check your own vehicle first: Specifications vary by build date, package and market, and two trucks with the same badge can be built differently. Before you order anything based on this page, confirm against GM’s order guide and your dealer’s order confirmation, then against the window sticker once the truck is built. If your order disagrees with this page, your order is right.

Late-availability flags
🔍 What This Spec Means: GM’s guide flags the TurboMax, Regular Cab and Double Cab as “late availability,” so a listed combination may not be orderable when production starts.
What the new Silverado trim includes as standard
Order code 1LT is the mid-range truck that replaces the LT.
Standard equipment
Per GM’s order guide, it includes dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and steering wheel, a 10-way power driver seat and 18-inch wheels.
Z71 and 4WD
Order 4WD and the guide requires the Z71 Off-Road Package. Our Z71, Trail Boss and ZR2 comparison by trim covers the lifted trims.
Super Cruise by trim
Super Cruise is standard on High Country and ZR2 and available on Silverado and Trail Boss.
Can you build an LTZ-style 2027 Silverado with packages?
No. The LTZ is discontinued, and its equipment is spread across option packages on the Silverado trim. A Chrome Exterior Package covers the chrome look, and the order guide lists no leather, so Evotex seats are the closest match.
The package chain
| Package | Adds | Requires | Applies To (2027) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Comfort and Convenience (WPC) | Bucket seats, console, wireless charging | Not on 2WD Double Cab | 1LT |
| Assisted Driving (AS2) with Trailer Technology (ZLB) | Surround view, trailer camera | Each requires the other | 1LT |
| Silverado Premium (PQA) | Ventilated seats, head-up display, power tailgate | AS2, WPC, CXH, ZLB, 20-inch wheels; not Double Cab | 1LT |
| Super Cruise (AS3) | Hands-free driving | Crew Cab, AS2, WPC; PQA not needed | 1LT |

Chrome or Super Cruise
🚫 Fits But Shouldn’t: A chrome-bumper 2027 Silverado cannot have Super Cruise: the guide lists the Chrome Exterior Package as not available with it, and the 2026 LTZ had chrome bumpers as standard.
Which 2027 Silverado trims can you spec for trailering?
Only one trim can order Max Trailering for 2027.
Max Trailering is Silverado-only
In GM’s order guide, the Max Trailering Package is offered only on the Silverado trim; in 2026 it was on LT, RST, LTZ and High Country, per our Max Trailering Package guide.
What it requires
It requires Trailer Technology plus the 5.7L V8 with a spray-on bedliner, or 4WD with the 3.0L Duramax and specific 20-inch all-terrain tires; not offered with 22-inch wheels. Factory trailering mirrors are Work Truck only.
⚠️ Watch Out: Eligibility is not a rating. Tow ratings change with engine, cab, drivetrain and package, so this article states none; see our 2027 Silverado towing capacity article.
✅ Do This: Ask your dealer for the order guide’s tow rating for your exact build, then compare it with your trailer’s loaded weight.
Order-guide traps and where to confirm your build
One detail in the guide can still change an order.
Conflicts to watch for
The Premium Package passenger seat appears as both 8-way and 10-way, so check your window sticker.
