Full F-150 Length Chart by Cab and Bed, Plus Garage Fit

How long is an F-150? It depends on two choices
The 2026 F-150 is 209.4 to 243.9 inches long (about 17.5 to 20.3 feet), depending on cab and bed, per Ford’s 2026 technical specifications. Cab style and bed length create almost all of that 34.5-inch spread. Model year and drivetrain move it by fractions of an inch.
Start where your question is:
- Comparing cab and bed combinations? The length table below covers every 2026 configuration Ford lists.
- Shopping a used 2021 truck? Ford’s launch figures run slightly shorter, and the year comparison shows by how much.
- Checking your garage? Skip to the three-measurement check, because length is only one of the three.
This guide sits within our full F-150 specs by configuration, scoped by year and build.
📍 Check your own vehicle first: Two F-150s with the same badge can differ in cab, box, drivetrain and model year, and each one changes the length. Before you commit, confirm the cab and box on the specific truck’s window sticker or dealer build record, then tape-measure it bumper to bumper. If the truck disagrees with this page, the truck is right.

Regular Cab lengths
The Regular Cab is the shortest F-150 with the 6.5-ft box. It’s also the only 2026 cab Ford lists dimensions for with the 8-ft box, at 228.1 inches.
SuperCab and SuperCrew lengths
Both cabs measure 232.0 inches in their shorter configurations. The SuperCrew 6.5-ft is the longest 2026 build: 243.8 inches as a 4×2 and 243.9 inches as a 4×4.
Tremor and Raptor exceptions
The Tremor is slightly shorter at 231.5 inches, on a 145.6-inch wheelbase. The Raptor measures 232.3 inches.
Why 2021 and 2026 F-150 lengths don’t match

Many sites still quote 231.7 or 243.5 inches as current. Those are Ford’s 2021 launch figures.
| Configuration | Applies To | 2021 Ford Sheet | 2026 Ford Sheet | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regular Cab, 6.5-ft | 4×2 and 4×4 | 209.1 in | 209.4 in | +0.3 in |
| Regular Cab, 8-ft | 4×2 and 4×4 | 227.7 in | 228.1 in | +0.4 in |
| SuperCab, 6.5-ft | 4×2 and 4×4 | 231.7 in | 232.0 in | +0.3 in |
| SuperCrew, 5.5-ft | 4×2 and 4×4 | 231.7 in | 232.0 in | +0.3 in |
| SuperCrew, 6.5-ft | 4×2 / 4×4 | 243.5 in | 243.8 / 243.9 in | +0.3 / +0.4 in |

2021 lengths from Ford’s launch spec sheet
Ford’s 2021 sheet lists the 5.5-ft SuperCrew and the 6.5-ft SuperCab at 231.7 inches, and the 6.5-ft SuperCrew at 243.5.
What changed by 2026
📐 On the Spec Sheet: The wheelbases are unchanged, but the overhangs moved. Ford’s 2021 sheet gives 37.6 in front and 48.6 in rear overhang. The 2026 sheet gives 37.4 in front and 49.2 in rear.
We haven’t verified Ford’s 2022–2025 sheets, so we can’t say which year the change landed. For a 2022–2025 truck, measure it rather than assume either column.
The long SuperCab that’s no longer listed
The 2021 SuperCab 8-ft was the longest F-150 at 250.3 inches, on a 164.1-inch wheelbase. Ford’s 2026 sheet gives no dimensions for it, although its steering table still lists a 164.1-inch SuperCab wheelbase. Confirm availability with a dealer before planning around one.
Your cab adds more length than your bed does
Cab choice moves an F-150’s length further than bed choice, because the cabs differ by more than the boxes do.
Bumper-to-back-of-cab by cab style
📐 On the Spec Sheet: Ford’s 2026 sheet lists front bumper to back of cab at 121.2 in for the Regular Cab, 143.8 in for the SuperCab, and 155.6 in for the SuperCrew (5.5-ft, and 6.5-ft 4×4).
Subtract that from overall length and you’re left with the box section behind the cab:
- about 76.4 inches for the 5.5-ft box
- 88.2–88.3 inches for the 6.5-ft box
- 106.9 inches for the 8-ft box
That’s our arithmetic from Ford’s figures, not a number Ford publishes.
SuperCab vs SuperCrew: same length, different space
A 6.5-ft SuperCab and a 5.5-ft SuperCrew are both 232.0 inches long. Choosing between them trades 10.1 inches of rear legroom (33.5 vs 43.6 inches) for 11.8 inches more box floor (78.9 vs 67.1 inches).
⚠️ Watch Out: Switching from a 5.5-ft SuperCrew to a 6.5-ft SuperCab to fit a garage saves nothing, because both are 232.0 inches. For 2026, only the 6.5-ft Regular Cab (209.4 inches) is meaningfully shorter.
Where Tremor and Raptor land
The Tremor’s 231.5 inches comes from a shorter 48.5-inch rear overhang. The Raptor pairs a shorter 36.7-inch front overhang with a longer 50.2-inch rear, which nets out to 232.3 inches.
How wide and tall is an F-150 with mirrors?
In many garages the door, not the depth, is the tighter fit, and the mirrors decide it.
Width with standard, folded and tow mirrors
| Measurement | Applies To | Figure |
|---|---|---|
| Body, excluding mirrors | 2026 Regular Cab, SuperCab, SuperCrew, Tremor | 79.9 in (SuperCrew 6.5-ft 4×2: 79.7 in) |
| Standard mirrors extended | Same | 95.7 in |
| Standard mirrors folded | Same | 83.6 in |
| Trailer-tow mirrors extended | 2026 Regular Cab, SuperCab, SuperCrew (not Tremor or Raptor) | 105.9 in |
| Trailer-tow mirrors folded | Same | 85.3 in |
Cab height by configuration
Ford lists unladen cab height on standard 2026 trucks from 75.0 inches (Regular Cab 8-ft 4×2) to 77.5 inches (SuperCrew 6.5-ft 4×4). 4×4 versions sit higher than 4×2 in every other configuration. The Tremor measures 79.2 inches, and the Raptor 79.5 inches on 35s or 80.7 inches on 37s.
🔍 What This Spec Means: Ford measures cab height empty, on factory tires. Roof racks, lift kits and taller tires all add to it, so check what the truck left the factory on against our 2026 F-150 tire size chart.
Will an F-150 fit in your garage? Measure these three things
There is no single standard garage size to check against, so the reliable test is your tape measure against Ford’s figures.
Depth: garage length minus truck length
- Measure from the inside face of the closed door to the nearest wall, shelf or step.
- Subtract the truck’s overall length from the table above.
- What remains is your walk-around room, front and back combined.
Take a hypothetical garage 250 inches deep. It leaves 6.1 inches around a 243.9-inch SuperCrew 6.5-ft 4×4, but 18.0 inches around a 232.0-inch SuperCrew 5.5-ft.
Door: width with mirrors folded, and height
Compare the door opening’s width with 83.6 inches (standard mirrors folded) or 85.3 inches (tow mirrors folded). Then compare its lowest point with the cab height for your configuration.
What adds length after you buy
Ford’s overall length describes the factory truck. A hitch ball mount, a bed extender or an aftermarket bumper adds whatever it sticks out, so measure those on the truck itself.
✅ Do This: Measure door height with the door fully open, at the lowest point of the track or opener rail, not at the door frame.
Confirm the exact configuration before you buy
The length table only helps if you know which row the truck belongs to.
Read the window sticker or build data
Three variables pick your row: cab, box length, and 4×2 or 4×4. Model year picks the column in the year comparison. With a used listing and no paperwork, confirm with a tape measure.
Nominal bed size vs inside floor length
🚫 Fits But Shouldn’t: “5.5-ft,” “6.5-ft” and “8-ft” are box names, not floor measurements. Ford’s 2026 sheet lists floor lengths of 67.1 inches (67.2 on Raptor), 78.9 inches and 97.6 inches. Plan loads and accessories against those figures and the box designation for your model year, not the nominal feet.

Measure your garage’s depth, door width and door height against these tables. Before you sign, confirm the specific truck’s cab, box and drivetrain. If the truck and this page disagree, trust the truck.
